Description:
The Two-Way Siamese Connection is used as an auxiliary inlet connection to supplement the fire protection water supply, providing a minimum of 500 GPM.
It is equipped with a swing clapper, ensuring a full waterway, and features an exposed design that offers an economical method of meeting Fire Department inlet requirements.
These connections are most commonly installed on the side of buildings (Model A95), but may also be located remote from the building (Model A96). In such cases, they are referred to as “freestanding” or “sidewalk” Fire Department Connections.
According to NFPA 13, the Fire Department Connection (FDC) must be located on the street side of buildings. However, in certain situations—such as large shopping malls—this is impractical, and therefore remote solutions like Model A96 are adopted.
